On my first day of stay, I asked direction from its staff who had no idea where it was (I finally found out by myself that it was only 20-minute-walk from there). At night I took shower in the dark because no bulb was installed. The latter is smartly designed to get natural sunshine through the glass window/roof. The room was fine for single occupancy and the price was fine for its A/C, TV, and ensuite shower. There are a lot of dining places offering various menus and price ranges from morning till late night (about 11 pm). The hotel is strategically located on East Coast Road (the main road) where both rows are full with the colourful well-preserved two-storey Chinese shophouses. Its peranakan style furniture in black and gold lining carvings enticed me deeply. :) so this is recommendable for those looking for a comfortable accommodation even in a small budget. take note! 1 device = 1 password = Sg$2, we had to connect 3 devices so that was another $6 on top of our booking. the only downsides I would say were the reception area was quite small, and a few number of people can make it over crowded, and the you had to pay for the wifi connection. only a single bus trip to go to sentosa, the staff were very accommodating. it was near the bus stops, restaurants, bars, very accessible. ![]() It was fairly near to the airport, and travelling by taxi didn't cost us much. she enjoyed looking at the street and the restaurant/s across the hotel. Even my 5-year old daughter enjoyed the room, she finds it very comfortable and she loved the "view" outside our room. It was pretty late when we got there it was surprising the hotel wasn't overbooked. ![]() ![]() To make the long story short, we had to get our own hotel booking and ended up with Le Peranakan Hotel. We started our Singapore escapade because of the strike by the pilots from Lufthansa Airlines, since we were holding a staff ticket, there were restrictions and we can not get rebooked to another flight.
